Alasdair Tait named Artist Manager of the Year

21st January 2016

We are delighted to share the news that Alasdair Tait, Chief Executive & Artistic Director of YCAT, has been named Artist Manager of the Year at the Association of British Orchestras/Rhinegold Awards at the ABO conference 2016.

The award noted that ‘smoothing the path for highly talented young musicians with undoubted potential into a frighteningly competitive profession has always been a challenging task’, and recognised the ‘broad management service’ which YCAT offers to selected young musicians at a ‘crucial period’ in their careers.

The ABO is the national body representing the collective interests of professional orchestras, youth ensembles and the wider classical music industry throughout the UK. The annual ABO/Rhinegold Awards recognise excellence in the sector in three categories: Orchestra Manager (awarded to Sarah Alexander, NYO), Concert Hall Manager (Angela Dixon, Saffron Hall) and Artist Manager of the Year.
