YCAT artists feature in The Musician magazine

YCAT artists Benjamin Baker, Timothy Ridout and Alasdair Tait, Chief Executive were interviewed for a feature in the October edition of the Musicians’ Union magazine, The Musician. Discussing the tough realities and future challenges facing solo performers, Baker and Ridout reflect on their careers so far with YCAT’s representation.

We are delighted that this summer the pianist Giuseppe Guarrera received a Tabor Foundation Award of CHF 5,000 at the Verbier Festival Academy.  The award is presented to deserving Academy musicians who are in need of financial support.

Castalian String Quartet wins the inaugural Merito String Quartet Award/Valentin Erben Prize

The Castalian String Quartet, which has been chosen as the winner of the first Merito String Quartet Award/Valentin Erben Prize from among the five best-qualified quartets, is a young group based in London. The prize will be awarded at the Vienna Konzerthaus on 23 April 2018, when the Castalian String Quartet will treat the audience to a high-quality evening performance of works by Joseph Haydn and Robert Schumann.
