We are thrilled to announce our six highly anticipated finalists for 2023. Following an exhaustive selection process from a pool of over 120 exceptionally talented musicians, these artists have emerged as outstanding, creative performers poised to make their mark in the world of classical music. They will take centre stage at our live Public Final Auditions, to be held at the iconic Wigmore Hall at 3pm and 7pm on 2nd June 2023. Those selected at the finals will be welcomed into YCAT's family of internationally managed artists.

The six selected finalists are:

  • Ignas Maknickas (piano)
  • Hana Chang (violin)
  • Quartet Atenea (string quartet)
  • Charlotte Spruit (violin)
  • Will Duerden (double bass)
  • Trio Chagall (piano trio)

Alasdair Tait (Chief Executive & Artistic Director) comments:

“This year’s auditions have already been truly inspiring and probably one of the most difficult years ever for the many juries to whittle down the selection to this small group of exceptional musicians. We can’t wait to experience them all in live performance at the Wigmore in June!”

YCAT’s Final Auditions are open to the public to attend and will take place at Wigmore Hall, on 2 June from 3 - 5.30pm and 7 - 9.30pm.

Each finalist will be introduced on YCAT’s social and digital media platforms between 3-18 May.
