Nika Goric wins highest award at RAM graduation

Many congratulations to soprano Nika Goric, who was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Commendation for Excellence at the Royal Academy of Music graduation ceremony on 5th July.

The prize is awarded to the best all-round student of the year and is a gift from Her Majesty the Queen, Patron of the Royal Academy of Music.

Nika graduates from the RAM Opera Course, where she has been studying with Lillian Watson and Jonathan Papp. Last month she took the lead role of Polly Peachum in RAM’s production of The Threepenny Opera. Future engagements include a return visit to Wigmore Hall, and appearances as soloist with the Philharmonia, Australian Chamber and Slovene Philharmonic Orchestras. She performs Brahms’ Requiem at St. John’s Smith Square with the London Chorus, and appears as soloist at Philharmonic Hall Liverpool, Symphony Hall Birmingham and Usher Hall Edinburgh.
